Here s how I have counseled people with stress and anxiety. Worry takes up far too much of our day. So, instead of worrying hours at a time, day after day, simply do the following. Set aside one hour a week to WORRY! Throughout the week when a tinge of anxiety comes up, write it down and forget it until you one hour a week. On that appointed time, go sit in a corner, review you list and WORRY all you can. And then get on with life. Let s do the same with the infamous December 21, 2012 date. Let s make a list here, set a time to review and worry about what MIGHT happen, and then get on with creating the life that we were born to live. Deal? So, here are some of the most important things to WORRY over: 1-The Yellowstone super volcano might explode. It is showing major signs of stress.2-The "ring of fire" standard sized volcanoes are becoming more active.3-The solar flares from the sun are expected to peak in 2012.4-We re moving into a band of energized plasma that will wreck havoc with life.5-Pulses from way out there are on the way to devastate our planet.6-Nibiru is coming back and we have hell to pay.7-Global warming is melting the ice caps and we ll have oceanic flooding8-The ozone layer is being depleted and UV rays will kill farming.9-Snow on the mountains has stopped and our rivers and streams will dry up.10-There will be droughts that will cause social unrest and wars.11-Earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, and tsunamis are increasing in intensity.12-Increased carbon footprint is causing untold diseases and medical problems.13-We re due for a pole shift.14-Decreased magnetic field is opening us up to undesirable electromagnetic anomalies.15-The 26,000 year galactic crossing is just ahead of us throwing our planet into turmoil. I know there are so many more things that we need to WORRY about, but you can add them to your list as they come to mind. Just write them down and get on with life. For those that come under the category of SUPER worriers, you might add some of the more local and immediate things such as: 1-Israel bombing Iran s nuclear plants and gasoline goes to $5 a gallon.2-An H1N1 pandemic that wipes out hundreds of millions of people3-A double dip economic catastrophe takes the DOW to 3,000.4-China refuses to buy any more US$ s and America goes bankrupt.5-El Nino destroys all fruit production in Florida and California. Oh, WAIT! Maybe this is simply too much to WORRY about. Maybe we should just take the Eckhart Tolle approach and live in the NOW: just concentrate on breathing. Can you hear your heart beat? Can you feel your pulse? Hey, we are still alive and right NOW we have the CHOICE as to what we want to do next. as for me, I m headed to the swing where I can enjoy fresh air, watch the squirrels and birds interact, and enjoy the leaves before they start falling this winter. Meditation works wonders. Oh yes, and I ll take a Cuvee Blanc and LaStoria Meritage with me. What 2012 perfect storm paranoia were you talking about now? :
